Another adventure weekend in adventure Plus. I love adventures and exploring places. We were invited for the alumni meet arranged by our college, and since me and my husband are from the same college, we joined in for the alumni meet. This place was in my wish list since a long time.
About Adventure Plus
It is one of the largest adventure sports park in Asia.Adventure activities are spread across land, water and air. It is located Located in Yeoli, Taluka Bhor (about 50km from Pune). Many of the IT companies from Pune, plan weekend gateways to Adventure Plus as it helps in recreation of mind. This was first of its kind in Pune and now many more similar adventure parks are introduced nearby Pune.
Best time to visit: I suggest you can visit the place from OCt to Mar. It would be too hot in April and May.
Mode of Transport: We decided to go with the college transport arranged. We got into the bus at the Katraj bus stand, and parked our bike in the Katraj parking.
There are regular buses to yeoli from Swar gate.
Things to carry: The list is as follows:
Water bottle: This is must and i always carry my own bottle. Since i had an idea about the adventure activities we would be playing, I had also carried some Glucose water with me.
Sanitizer. Extremely important. Always safe to carry for protection against germs.
Sunglasses: Protection for eyes.
Sunscreen: Since it was more of outdoor activities. i had applied and also carried the sunscreen. I sugegst buy travel pouch.
Sports shoes: this was strictly informed in our alumni invite as there were lots of adventurous activities to play.
I was very excited about the place. We boarded the college bus from Katraj. Many of our juniors and seniors had also joined in. After a long time, we all were catching up. It took us around 1 hour to reach the place. First thing what we did, after reaching the place is the breakfast. We were quite hungry. The adventure plus staff had prepared upma and tea for all of us. We were a strength of around 50.
After breakfast, we freshened up and explored the place. It was bigger than expected. There were tents as well.
We then got ready and came to the activity area. The staff helped us in making the groups. The first activity was planned spider net. The ropes were quite stiff and everyone was little hesitant to try the same. Being enthusiastic, i completed the same and was the only girl who would do it.
Another net activity which I completed.
Next, was the Burma bridge. It was my first time, and I really enjoyed the same. I crossed it without turning it upside down. The staff were there for guidance.
After some more activities, we were literally sweating and tired. It was more of some type of training for cadets including rifle shooting.
Then we proceeded for lunch. Lunch was simple homely veg food. Post lunch we took some rest in the tents provided. Very few tents were available and not everyone got the chance to relax. We tried archery shooting next.
There were many more activities like rock climbing, rappling, and so on. But we were really drained as it was sunny The staff then told us to move near water area. Some water activities were taken like kayaking, and boating. I personally did not like the lake so i did not get into the water sports. t\The lake was shallow and not maintained well. Lastly, they winded up the activities, with rain dance and DJ. The water was not that clean, and most of us did not try it out.
We returned from the place by 5 PM.
Overall, the adventure plus is a not so well maintained adventure park. Many of the games were closed though they boasts a lot of activities on their website. It is still a preferred place for adventurous activities and outings as we dont have similar place near Pune. Good for team outings or strengthen the team bonding and interactions. Also, if you are adventurous, you will enjoy. Good for kids and senior citizens too.
If you have any queries, please feel free to ask in comments. I will try my best to answer the same ASAP. Also I would suggest visit this place for an experience which you can cherish forever.
